Description

Shifts:

Monday to Friday, regular days


Salary:

Paying between £40,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience


Duties:


  • Create programs for Fanuc and Mazak machine tools
  • Make Calculations for programming including where materials should be cut
  • Create & maintain tooling methods
  • Write programs & modify existing ones to increase efficiency
  • Be effective with current machining methods to maximize machining capabilities
  • Review and interpret technical drawings & 3D Models
  • Demonstrate a sound knowledge of work holding, tooling, speed and feeds, quality awareness and time management
  • Investigate & implement changes to tooling with the aim of cycle time improvement
  • Communicate with engineers who will use the programs
  • Provide training for all new starters within the department
  • Working alongside the Senior Programmer creating offline CNC Programs for a range of engineering components
  • To ensure that Quality Standards to BS EN ISO 9001 are maintained & the quality of all products supplied by company conform to their own quality standards as well as their customers
  • To ensure all Health & Safely regulations are observed and maintained
  • To promote & encourage effective communication
  • To assist in Implementation of total quality and process improvement at company

Requirements:


  • Knowledge of the Quality Standards to BS EN ISO 900
  • Solid knowledge of CADCAM software packages (Edgecam desirable)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Apprenticeship served in a CNC machining environment.
