    Corporate Acquisitions Manager (Coventry)The company is the parent of a privately owned group with investors which include family and institutions.

    Competitive Salary & bonusLocation – Coventry, 4 days in the office, 1 day flexibleThe RoleReporting to the Group CEO you will be the focus of acquisitions activity within the organisation leading analysis and research, initiating contacts with targets and initiating and assisting in negotiations.

    We focus on small to medium sized enterprises run by owners who have built their businesses from the ground up.

    We look for medium technology products with medium barriers to entry and aim to invest where we can be a significant majority shareholder in an SME most likely with an owner/manager who is prepared to continue in the business.

    This is a key Group appointment essential to the development and growth of the Group.

    YouYou may have a background in marketing or accounting and be a trained accountant, or in banking or currently work for an acquisition organisation focussing on SMEs sell side or buy side.

    You are able to analyse a market to identify profitable sectors and niche's. You understand Company Accounts.

    You have good research skills and are prepared to allocate the time to focus on creating long lists and short lists and initiating contact in a systematic way.

    You are trustworthy, analytical, enquiring, curious and hard working. You are used to working alone and have hands-on experience of doing the tasks yourself.

    When you are in a team you are a valued member and supportive of others and are comfortable working in a small close-knit team.

    You are able to approach with confidence senior people in other organisations and explain fluently your proposal or ideas. You can be persuasive but also have the empathy necessary to tailor your approach to the other person. You are comfortable communicating face to face, by Teams or over the phone. You can also write coherently and clearly.

    In your career to date, you have experience working in acquisitions possibly in an Analyst or Associate role and would like the opportunity to initiate and lead on projects.

    Your great IT skills mean you have experience working with Microsoft packages are proficient in the use of spreadsheets in reporting and the design of reports in Excel and possibly also have experience of Power BI.Qualifications, skills, education & trainingYou are likely to be educated to MBA/ MSc level with a focus on Marketing and/or Accounting/Finance and/or law and will have post degree work experience of at least three years.

    You are fluent in English language written & spoken (although it may not be your native language).

    You will hold a Full Current Driving Licence have the right to work in the UK.LocationThe role offers Hybrid Working and this position is a mix of office and field based.

    Normally you can expect to spend at least four days per week at the offices in Coventry.
    Working hoursA normal working week is 37.5hours.

    Office hours can be flexible around a core time period of 10am-3pm to meet personal and family needs, though this is a demanding role and there will be occasions where your working hours will need to be flexible to meet other work-related demands.
