Cheshire & Merseyside ICB has a secondment position for a Band 3 Administrator.

This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated and organised individuals to join our team.

As an administrator you will provide an effective and competent level of support to deliver a patient-focused service.

You will be required to work on your own as well as working as part of a wider team.

You will demonstrate a willingness to help others and be a key member of the team with responsibility for specific tasks.

You will be expected to follow set processes and prioritise your own workload in order to fulfil the requirements of the post.

Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills are essential plus an ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential information.

Excellent IT skills are required, in particular in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.


The post holder must have a pro-active, flexible and adaptable approach to their work in order to meet demanding deadlines and have the ability and resilience to regularly deal with a range of routine and non-routine administrative tasks as required to deliver an efficient and effective service.

  • Monitor the team's mailbox, responding and dealing with queries in a timely manner.
  • Book meetings as per Service Standard Operating Procedures. This will require direct contact with internal and external colleagues and patients / families who may be distressed and/or anxious.
  • Collating records from a variety of care providers.
  • Accurate and timely inputting records.
  • Receive a variety of telephone calls, using initiative, tact and discretion to deal with matters where possible, taking messages and redirecting calls as appropriate.
  • Provide cover for other administrative members as necessary (e.g. during periods of absence due to sickness, holidays etc.), including the taking of and producing minutes.
