The Cell Validation Manager will build a team of scientists and engineers responsible for delivering concept & design validation as well as providing technical support for process validation. The role sits within the Product Engineering (Cell) Team bridging research and development with industrialization of battery technologies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Grow a team of talented Engineers and Scientists that are responsible for cell testing.
• Plan requirements for concept, design and process validation.
• Develop test procedures & standards for performance, durability and abuse.
• Ensure our products meet legislative and regulatory requirements through testing.
• Create an automated data elaboration platform.
• Deliver DV test programmes to cost and time for all products and provide technical support for the PV test programmes ran by other parts of the business.
• Lead failure investigations using a range of six sigma tools and 8D.
• Support the facilities team, scoping requirements for testing.
• Work cross-functionally engaging with teams around FMEA, cell development and system integration activities.

Essential Experience & Skills:

• Cell testing and data elaboration with proven record delivering to cost and time.
• Experience of managing others in a cell validation area.
• Ability to review and critically appraise data and empirical literature
• Able to work under own initiative with proactive approach to problem solving
• Six Sigma qualified to Green belt or higher

Desired Experience:

• PhD in Chemistry, Engineering or related subject
• Extensive experience in cell testing including delivering for projects with OEM's
• Certified Six Sigma Black Belt
