    About The Role

    A successful network engineer will have varied duties, from working on day-to-day tickets with varying levels of complexity, to assisting in the deployment of new projects and services. Managing and improving monitoring systems. Working with a large array of network technologies and services such as Cisco routing, switching, Cisco ISE, Zscaler, Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco and Meraki wireless, Solar winds, and many more.

    Main responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain complex network solutions.
  • Configure and manage Cisco routers, switches, and access points using CLI.
  • Administer and optimize Cisco SD-WAN solutions.
  • Manage and troubleshoot Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) and Meraki wireless networks.
  • Monitor and maintain network health using SolarWinds or similar tools.
  • Utilize Cisco DNA Center for network automation and management.
  • Implement and manage both Layer 2 and Layer 3 network environments, including networks operating with OSPF and BGP routing protocols
  • Configure and manage Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) firewalls.
  • Administer and optimize Zscaler Zero Trust Internet Access (ZIA) and Zero Trust Private Access (ZPA) solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless network operation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

  • About You

    Desired skills and knowledge:
  • Must have Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification (or equivalent) or higher
  • Proven experience in Cisco CLI, Cisco SD-WAN, Solarwinds, Cisco and Meraki wireless, L2 and L3 networks, Cisco FTD/FMC, Zscaler ZIA and ZPA.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Hybrid requirements:
  • Successful candidates are required to work in the office 3 days per week if within a commutable distance from Head Office.
  • Candidates who are located more than 2 hours away from Head Office will be required to attend in-person for 3 consecutive days every 3 weeks.
  • A full UK driving licence is a mandatory requirement due to visiting other sites as part of this role.
