    Purpose

    The CSE Manager manages, evaluates, develops, and leads one of the front lines Customer Solutions Engineering teams to ensure that the organization's CSE strategy is implemented effectively, consistently, and according to the established guidelines and budgets.

    This position will be based in our Chertsey office and will be responsible for managing the Customer Solutions Engineering Major Projects team. You will be responsible for managing major projects in lifts within London (City of London & Canary Wharf).

    Key responsibilities

    • Ensures projects are agreed, managed on time and profitably.
    • Identifies changes in market and technology environment and drives changes to solutions and ways of working.
    • Creates roadmaps for Front Line CSE development to meets business targets and manages progress.
    • Collects input and provides standardization opportunities.
    • Provides technical consultancy to Sales and Customers.
    • Participates in customer meetings as CSE representative, impacts on customer specifications and understanding customer needs.
    • Participates in pre-tender reviews and order booking reviews to ensure solution meets customer, quality, safety, and compliancy requirements.
    • Costing management; understanding total costing, Front Line target costing, and planning for cost effective solutions.
    • Ensures compliant deployment of engineering policy, local codes, and standards.
    • Ensures CSE plans safe customer solutions.
    • Provides high-quality inputs for Sourcing and Supply Line.
    • Provides solutions where full lifecycle management is considered; installability and maintainability are considered.
    • Conducts CSE process performance management at Front Line level and drives actions to improve performance.
    • Active contribution to further develop Customer Solutions Engineering capabilities in KONE Way.

    Leadership & People Management

    • Leads the team to be proactive and professional with customers and collaboration with KONE colleagues.
    • Coaches the team members to achieve results through regular one to one dialogue and sharing of best practices.
    • Develops, motivates, and inspires the team and individual to high performance.

    Skills & Experiences

    • Proven team management experience and influencing skills in a matrix organization.
    • Project management background, ideally within major projects and lifts industry.
    • Construction industry knowledge is essential.
    • Prior working experience in customer solutions engineering is desirable.
    • Technical or engineering background is desirable.
    • Be customer focused, understanding the needs of customers and the importance of providing solutions to satisfy short and long-term objectives.
    • Ability to work effectively in a highly complex, diverse, changing environment, whilst adapting to change and maintaining focus on key business goals and objectives.
    • Good communication skills, both written and spoken English.
    • Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, SAP experience.
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
