Reporting to the Operations & Maintenance Manager, you will take responsibility for the general maintenance of the property and upkeep of its facilities.

You will complete the daily job list and preventative maintenance schedules with an eye for detail and a passion for fixing things You will also liaise with contractors and take responsibility for health and safety.

The Maintenance Assistant will also become involved in larger projects and provide support to the Racecourse Operations and Maintenance team in carrying out general basic maintenance on the buildings.

The Maintenance Assistant is part of a team covering the 24/7 operation of our business and 40 hours per week will be scheduled to reflect this, in addition you will be expected to contribute time to the call-out and lock up rotas.

Lieu days will be taken for additional time worked.
Experience of working in a maintenance department or handyman style role
