Our software, CAM Assist, brings one-click automation to CNC machining. Our world-class team, with tier 1 financial backers including Atomico, Autodesk and Lockheed Martin, combines expertise in computer science and physical manufacturing, from our locations in London and Chelmsford.We are scaling from Series B to C at pace and are fully funded for this growth. Primary Purpose of the Role: You will play a key role in supporting our manufacturing team, ensuring that materials and finished products are processed through our factory in an accurate and timely manner

    Key Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Drive site vehicles to deliver products locally when required.
  • Operate counterbalance forklift truck
  • Maintain accurate records on ERP System.
  • Liaise with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning and Quality as required to facilitate timely receipt of product in support of KPI targets.
  • Take delivery and book in consumables, raw materials, bar stock and chemicals into the ERP system.
  • Distribute received items around the site where appropriate.
  • Manage physical finished goods stock in our dispatch warehouse.
  • Prepare product for shipment by verifying location, and moving to staging area.
  • Verify inventory prior to dispatch in line with release documentation.
  • Prepare and submit customs documentation in support of international customer shipments.
  • Liaise directly with customer appointed shipping agents to arrange and coordinate freight
  • Create, issue and receipt purchase orders for sub-contract activities.
  • Offload raw materials from delivery vehicles using fork lift truck, and/or manual handling.
  • Inspection (weigh / measure / count) of raw materials to process receipt of goods into an ERP system and bonded stores.
  • Perpetual cycle counting of materials to ensure inventory accuracy is maintained at all times.
  • Coordinate and prepare scrap materials collections.
  • Ensure efficient flow to the business is achieved through material movement around the site to maximise productivity.
  • Issuance of raw materials
  • Operation of automated cutting centre & lifting equipment
  • Processing return of raw material into inventory.
  • Set up tools as per set up sheets and deliver to the assigned work centre area.
  • Disassemble tools, clean them and put them in their designated area.
  • Own the tooling area, ensuring it is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Manage tooling stock and make purchase requests when needed
  • Maintain the tool vending system and provide support where necessary
  • Develop and maintain relevant standard operating procedures and/or work instructions.
  • Proactively contribute to the development of the supply chain in terms of service improvement and overall cost reduction
  • Ensure customer OTD (On Time Delivery) is met by working to strict daily shipping schedules and identify any issues.
