Leading, large multinational power and renewable energy engineering company is seeking to appoint a Lead Electrical Engineer to join their R&D team in Newcastle upon Tyne.

You will be responsible for leading the research and development of exciting offshore wind projects including high voltage electrical transmission design and testing. This includes leading a small, growing team, however, previous management experience is not required.

The projects are at the cutting edge of offshore wind technology and will help shape the future of energy generation for future generations.

You will have a strong background in HV electrical engineering including an electrical engineering degree. This could include electrical power transmission, metallurgy, polymers, optical transmission, product analysis and testing.

The position is based in Newcastle, with flexible / hybrid working.
