We have a brand new opportunity for a Head of Strategy & Operations/ Head of Commercial Strategy & Analytics / Head of Business Planning to build a centre of excellence for all things strategy and insights at one of the UK's largest online customer-centricgoods and services marketplaces.
Although they're a very established brand, they are entering a new exciting phase of rapid growth.This is a key role, coordinating the business operations to drive cross-functional alignment and enable execution, operational efficiency, and growth.
You willwork collaboratively with commercial teams, product, marketing and other functions.This is a hybrid role based in West London (Zone 4) going into the office 2 days per week.
The Head of Strategy & Operations/ Head of Commercial Strategy & Analytics / Head of Business Planning will:
- Coordinate strategy and operations, helping business functions focus on execution and hitting ambitious goals
- Establish, measure and own metrics that enable our organisation to scale and uncover revenue growth levers through ad hoc analyses, research, and standardised reporting
- Drive highimpact crossfunctional initiatives such as pricing strategy, GTM planning, OKR setting and new market entry from strategy to execution
- Proactively lead and drive deep dives into business performance issues by anticipating inquiries and launching analysis in partnership with other partners and bringing strategic insights to leadership
- Identify issues, develop hypotheses, and execute indepth analyses to translate data into impactful insights and present recommendations to all levels of broader management team
- Manage central repository of processes and improve processes to minimise complexities and optimise to promote effective operations.
- Explore new markets and business models through industry trends, historical trends, forward looking forecasts, competitive assessment, etc. and build/evaluate recommendations for strategic growth and monetization.
- Take complete ownership of projects/ programs from cradle to grave: business case, scope, cost, schedule, action cycles, risks, issues, decisions, interdependencies and milestones.
- Strong experience in business operations, strategy, business planning, corporate development or a similar function, ideally with a digital business (Experience in marketplaces or technology space a plus)
- Datadriven: You're extremely analytical and live in data. At the same time, you're confident enough to make decisions when the data is limited
- Capable of flexing between high level strategic concepts & frameworks to getting into the details
- Entrepreneurial selfstarter with a bias towards action who can thrive in an ambiguous environment
- Experience building and leading a team
- Excellent storytelling, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to facilitate transparent communications and collaboration across large teams
