The Role:


  • Working within the Distributed Energy Construction Team to liaise with local authorities, internal colleagues and various stakeholders to govern and manage all activities associated with Street Works permitting across the UK.
  • To fulfil regulatory and technical requirements (e.g. HAUC and NRSWA requirements) and help the function to deliver agreed standards, exceptional customer service and performance to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • To operate as an effective member of the Construction team adding value by supporting colleagues and contract partners deliver planned outcomes on time and to agreed standards.
  • To ensure all costs are reviewed and correctly allocated to projects, or recharged to third parties as applicable.

What do I need?

Essential Functional / Technical Skills

  • Good IT skills and literate across the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to read and understand traffic management drawings and road layouts.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • A knowledge of street works legislation and software packages would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
  • Proficient in data inputting.

  • Good communicator with high levels of attention to detail.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team and to build good relationships with stakeholders.
  • Well organised, able to accurately manage and update information on multiple active sites.
  • The ability to take timely decisions in response to realtime street work issues.
  • The ability to work under pressure and remain calm whilst sequentially completing tasks
