Clinical Pharmacist General Surgery and Nutrition (Band 8a) - Pharmacy - Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust

Come and join our experienced surgical specialities and intestinal failure team.

You will work alongside both our Lower and Upper GI surgical teams in order to optimise medicines management in a wide range of complex cases including bariatrics.

Your role will involve close collaboration with the nutritional services in the provision of both short term and long term parenteral nutrition.

We actively encourage engagement with research and training of the pharmacy team and the wider MDT.

You will be patient facing active prescriber, ensuring medicines reconciliation is completed, review all aspects of pharmaceutical care and ensure medicines optimisation and safety.

Your week will be varied, providing cover on both the PN ward rounds, the intestinal failure unit and surgical admissions lounge as needed whilst providing support and leadership to pharmacists providing ward services across surgical directorates.

You will work with the pharmacists with other surgical specialities to drive forward our wider clinical pharmacy service for the future.
