We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Surveyor to join the team at a well-established housing association in Bridgend.

As a Senior Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing a team of 4 surveyors and 1 administrator, overseeing various aspects of property maintenance and management.

This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary of £48,501 per annum.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage a team of surveyors and an administrator, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance activities for the housing association's portfolio of 6,500 properties.
  • Address damp and mould issues, ensuring appropriate remedial actions are taken to maintain the quality of the properties.
  • Handle insurance and disrepair claims, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Conduct property inspections, identify maintenance needs, and develop costeffective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and health and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to ensure quality workmanship and value for money.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice to colleagues and stakeholders on propertyrelated matters.
  • Keep accurate records, prepare reports, and present findings to management as required.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience working in social housing and managing a team of surveyors.
  • Indepth knowledge of property maintenance, including planned and reactive maintenance processes.
  • Strong understanding of damp and mould issues, as well as insurance and disrepair claims.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and technology for property management.
  • Must hold a full driving licence and access to own transport
