Corporate Communications Advisor, RBC Europe


What is the opportunity?

As a Corporate Communications Advisor, you will:

  • Support the team in building a strong internal and external communication brand for RBC in Europe including execution and delivery of communication tactics
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of leadership events, roundtables and town hall content, major projects and initiatives and communication activities across the team
  • Deliver compelling, impactful messaging for internal consumption that promotes RBC's brand internally with the broader platform
  • Protect and enhance RBC's reputation globally.

What will you do?

  • Regularly develop content for intranet (CMWeb) to tell a compelling mix of business, strategy, CSR, and people profile stories.
  • Support regional town halls and employee engagement initiatives such as leadership roundtables and leadership forums.
  • Draft, format and issue organisation announcements and other messages relating to strategy, values, culture and businessrelated topics.
  • Support the delivery of important messages and campaigns in support of change initiatives including occasional support for Capital Markets APAC as required
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including diary management and scheduling meetings with external (media) and internal stakeholders
  • Work closely with colleagues in Toronto, London and other locations to ensure seamless and consistent communications
  • Contribute to the success of the overall goals of the Brand, Communications and Citizenship group.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:


  • Excellent written English and outstanding attention to detail.
  • Experience of internal events management and communication desirable.
  • Strong commitment to excellence and ability to calm and rational thinking while working under pressure.
  • Resultsfocused.
  • Proactive and tactical practitioner.
  • High level of personal integrity/ability to instill trust.
  • Some knowledge of/skills in digital / design / PowerPoint and Excel/analytics an advantage.
  • Knowledge of media an advantage.
