We are looking for an experienced full time Bookkeeper to join our small team, to manage our internal account functions.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Full responsibility for managing the daytoday account's function ensuring Sage and Xero are accurate and up to date.
- Sales and purchase ledger responsibilities
- Bank reconciliation
- Processing payments on banking software prior to authorisation by others
- Dealing with routine accounts queries from clients, staff and/or suppliers.
- Helping the Director with financial administrative duties and preparing yearly accounts
- Handling client invoices by recording and approving or denying the payments.
- Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients.
- Create, send, and follow up on invoices.
- Managing employee expense claims
- Handling accounts payable and receivable.
Key Skills
- Experienced Bookkeeper
- Proficient knowledge of Sage is essential.
- Working knowledge of Xero is highly desirable.
- Rationale thinker with a sound commercial awareness and an understanding for business.
- Excellent communication skills in writing and verbal communication.
- Excellent time management / organisational skills.
- Good team player and independent worker.
- Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality.
- Excellent IT skills, with working knowledge of Outlook and Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail.
Job Types:

Salary:
£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
