- Develop Planning applications, Building Regs, detailed design for highways/drainage/structures and construction drawings
- Produce drawing packages including design calculations for all stages of development to provide the most cost effectivesolution
- Land and Building surveying
- Provide structural design advice and expertise to construction projects
- Support the delivery team and Client to fulfil its designer's responsibilities under CDM
- Checking compliance with Client specifications and current regulatory standards
- Degree/HNC/HND in Civil / Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Excellent understanding of the 2015 CDM Regulations
- Practical design experience in construction within the industrial sector (client or contractor biased)
- AutoCAD proficient
- An ability to design from first principles
- Member, or working towards membership in related Professional Engineering Institution
- Working in a defence related industry background
- Working in a design consultancy position
