Do you hold the potential to make a real difference to nutritional health and wellbeing across the population of Anglesey and Gwynedd?


A fantastic opportunity has arisen to lead in the delivery of our Public Health Dietetic service across the West area of our health board.

Through this role you will lead a small team or registered dietitians and dietetic assistants to oversee, and contribute to the planning, coordination, and evaluation of projects and initiatives that facilitate improved food and nutrition knowledge and skills across a range of key individuals with the ability to then cascade these messages across our communities.


You will work closely with other Dietitians and support workers within the West Area and across BCUHB and will be fully supported with your professional development.


To lead the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of best practice in relation to community development/public health dietetics in the West area of the Health Board area working as an integral member of and in partnership with the multi-disciplinary teams within and out with health; including social care, local authority, education and the third sector.


Deliver highly specialist seamless dietetic services to individuals and groups in the areas identified above through the use of a variety of education approaches; supporting management of wider stakeholders to build capacity in the community through consistent nutrition messages, through delivery of accredited and non accredited courses.


Team leads delegated nutrition and dietetic staff ensuring consistent evidence based standards of care and effective multi-disciplinary working across BCUHB acting as an integral support to the Service Lead for Public Health dietetics.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
