Job Description:

Are you a Procurement professional, with particular expertise in vendor contract lifecycle management, contract consolidation opportunity identification, supplier relationship and vendor management? Do you have experience of authoring and implementing programs and effectively integrating these into wider procurement processes? If so, we would love to hear from you


Wood Mackenzie Procurement are looking for an experienced, self-starting professional to work closely with the Director of Procurement on strategic sourcing initiatives for WoodMac.


The Senior Procurement Sourcing Specialist is an expert and experienced Supply Chain professional, and will have a track record of establishing and delivering best-practice contract lifecycle management and creating effective and lasting vendor relationships via similar best practice vendor performance management programs.


Your background will include significant experience of delivering strategy, vision and processes to support the implementation of industry-standard Procurement and supplier management best practice.

You will lead and inspire colleagues and also be responsible for the continuous improvement of the function.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Strategic sourcing initiatives, developing issuing and evaluating competitive market assessments (RFX).
  • Perform contract negotiations with strategic vendors, in addition to Tier 1 and SaaS providers.
  • Negotiate Master Service Agreements, Statement of Works and other contract documents, ensuring compliance, legal, privacy and security are considered.
  • Partnering with the Business, and Law and Finance Departments to ensure successful negotiations, resulting in effective agreements which have properly mitigated risk, established performance metrics.
  • Identify, implement and lead cost reduction, avoidance and process improvement initiatives.
  • Developing successful collaborative relationships with key partners and suppliers to enable delivery of significant tangible business benefits for both parties.

Qualifications:


Skills, knowledge and experience:


  • Minimum 4 to 5 years of broadbased experience across multiple commodity groups, with particular focus in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract negotiation and management, supplier relationship management and vendor performance management
  • Relevant professional qualification or accreditation (eg. CISPs/ IACCM) or qualified by experience
  • Global Procurement experience
  • Ability to work cross functionally across global teams, across all levels of executive management
  • Results focused professional with the ability to lead and own, with little daytoday supervision
  • Strong working understanding of and experience in contract law, and negotiations in both Legal and Business terms in Legal Agreements
  • Proven experience in successfully managing vendors and third parties, including, but not limited to, policies, performance, vendor risk, relationships, contracts (including negotiations), licenses, audits and issue and dispute resolution
  • Excellent and demonstrable negotiation skills
  • Understanding of the vendor life cycle (sourcing, procurement, vendor and relationship management), and how internal roles interact and operate throughout the duration of vendor engagements
  • Experience in writing MSA and Statement of Works and implementing performancebased contracting
  • Analytical and organised individual who can use data in a meaningful way to drive change, compliance, performance and value improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal Team building skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills, as well as ability to work with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and complete deals within defined deadlines and short lead times, while partnering with other Team members to meet demand
  • Numerate and highly skilled in information management
