    Claret Capital Partners Limited ("Claret") are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their Finance and Operations team in London. The role offers the opportunity for an ambitious candidate to join our team in a support role, with scope to progress and develop a career within the company over the longer term.

    Role Overview:

    As a Finance Assistant, you will be an integral part of the finance team and support on all financial (and some non-financial) aspects of both the fund and internal finance functions.

    Responsibilities:

    Reporting

    • Assistance with, and preparation of, investor deliverables
    • Preparation of specific fund calculations (including Management Fee)
    • Liaising with the auditors
    • Additional ad hoc reporting requirements and investor queries

    Underlying Investments and Loan administration

    • Preparing amortisation schedules for loan investments and reconciling receipts
    • Assisting with the preparation of settlement statements
    • Maintaining co-investment schedules and preparing co-investment remittances

    Fund and Management Company Administration

    • Running Fund and Management Company accounts payable and executing payment runs whilst maintaining evidence of all cash movements
    • Bank reconciliations and bookkeeping
    • Bookkeeping the monthly company expense claims on the online system, ensuring all expenses are coded correctly
    • Maintain and update prepayments and accruals schedules
    • Create and issue management company and fund invoices/recharges
    • Compliance tasks, including ownership of the restricted list and maintaining compliance registers
    • Other administrative support as required

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Upper Second-class honours degree from a reputable university (accounting, finance, economics or mathematics preferable)
    • 1 to 2 years experience in financial services or the finance function of a non-financial business preferable
    • Intention of becoming a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) – Study support provided.
    • Intermediate Excel skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy when working
    • Self-starter, able to work flexibly as part of a small team
    • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate good time management skills
    • Ability to adapt quickly to competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, keeping not only themselves organised, but other team members too
    • Deadline-oriented
    • Good communication skills.
    • Basic knowledge of FCA obligations desirable
    • Right to work in the UK

    Working Policy and Compensation:

    · We have a hybrid working policy; the role would be expected to operate out of our London-based office for at least 3 days per week (and the remainder working from home)
