    Gleeson Recruitment Group are working exclusively in partnership with a high-growth, acquisitive business, who are looking to appoint a Group Financial Reporting Manager, in a newly-created position.

    As the Group Financial Reporting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-growth and acquisitive business, contributing to the development and implementation of robust financial reporting processes, tax management, and treasury management that support our client's ambitious business goals.

    Key responsibilities of the Group Financial Reporting Manager position:

    • Consolidated Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
    • Mergers and Acquisitions: Oversee the financial integration of acquired businesses, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transition and consolidation of financial data.
    • Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls related to financial reporting, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
    • Technical Accounting: Stay abreast of emerging accounting standards and provide guidance on their potential impact, ensuring compliance and effective communication across the organisation.
    • Tax Management: Develop and implement tax strategies, collaborating with tax advisors, and ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations.
    • Treasury Management: Manage the company's cash flow, optimise liquidity, and oversee debt and investment activities to support the overall financial health of the organisation.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with finance teams across different business units to gather financial information, resolve reporting issues, and streamline processes.
    • Audit Management: Manage the relationship with external auditors, coordinating audit activities, and addressing inquiries to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.

    Qualifications and experience required:

    • A recognised accountancy qualification - ACA or ACCA
    • Proven experience in financial reporting, tax management, and treasury management, preferably within a high-growth and acquisitive business environment.
    • Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
    • Experience in managing financial audits and dealing with external auditors.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
