    Berkshire Talent Partnership are proud to be working with a leading infrastructure and energy developer.

    Our client has 1GW+ under construction or in operation, and 12GW+ of facility at advanced stages of their project development pipeline.

    As such this exciting company are expanding their team and are currently hiring for a Commercial Manager to join their business.

    This business has a growing portfolio of assets under management which are capable of providing multiple services to National Grid, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), as well as those operating in the wholesale energy markets.

    Reporting to the Commercial Director you will manage all pre and post-contract commercial aspects of nominated projects within the company portfolio.

    Assist in implementation of company safety policy and requirements.
    Leadership of the commercial function within the project environment.
    Produce accurate monthly commercial reports for the board / senior management.
    Advise on commercial risk profile.
    Advise and develop commercial risk strategies and risk allocation planning.

    Responsible for developing procurement plans and contracting strategies before working with external legal teams to formulate templates for head and subcontracts.

    Responsible for developing contracts and leading negotiations with the supply chain covering all aspects of contract execution.
    Oversight of client accounts, claims and forecasts for each project.
    Resolving issues that arise from these accounts and mitigating any risk to the company.
    Ensure financial aspects and impacts of contract are clear to all parties.
    Ensure commercial business risk is effectively managed.

    Determine and summarise the commercial status of a tender or contract, drawing management attention to aspects of the contract having commercial implication.

    Liaising with the Project Manager in order to manage technical, programme and commercial interfaces.
    Ensure engagement with customers, suppliers and partners in accordance with company policy.
    BSc in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management or other construction related subjects and ideally RICS or CIOB qualified.
    Experience of working with NEC3 / NEC4 Contract type is essential. Ideally experience of using CEMAR contract management tool
    Experience in either a Cost Consulting Firm, Principal Contractor or A specialised Contracting organisation.
