£35,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience)
Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm

The main purpose of this role is to operate the company plant technology safely and within defined parameters to develop and perfect operational processes.

Main


Responsibilities:


  • Comply with company Safety, Health & Environmental procedures.
  • Prepare and follow operating procedures and checklists.
  • Carry out control room operations to ensure safe and efficient control of the plant.
  • Outside operating duties, including physical plant checks and Carbon Black discharge.
  • Preparation of plant for maintenance and carry out light maintenance duties.
  • Always maintain a high standard of Housekeeping.
  • Effective communication including handover and process documents and use of radio equipment.
Person Specification

  • Qualified with relevant O Levels / ONC / NVQ level 2 (minimum).
  • IOSH trained.
  • 3 years minimum operating experience in a process / production area incorporating SCADA type systems.
  • Experience in COMAH / Chemical / Petrochemical environments.
  • Full working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental requirements, including SOPs / RAMS / LOTO.
  • NEBOSH / FLT (CB,AT) / MEWP training beneficial.
  • First Aider / Fire Marshall experience beneficial.
  • Good communication skills required, both written and verbal.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and requirements of the company and operations.
  • Ability to work well within multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
  • Train The Trainer experience beneficial.
