    ALS People are proud to be recruiting for experienced Warehouse Operatives on a temporary to permanent basis, on behalf of our well-known client, based at their site in Wortley, Leeds (LS12 postcode area).

    Applicants must have previous warehouse experience; however specific training will be provided.

    The Role:

    Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

    • Picking and processing items to the agreed standard and targets for the relevant department using a hand scanner (85% target)
    • Assembling boxes and packaging for customer orders
    • Packing orders
    • Processing returns
    • Ensuring the warehouse and work area is always kept clean and safe (housekeeping)

    The Candidate will need to:

    • Be reliable and maintain good attendance levels
    • Have good communication skills and command of English both written and verbal (essential)
    • Comply with all policies and procedures, including health & safety and security.
    • Be customer focused at all times and have excellent attention to detail
    • Work well under pressure and have the desire to improve.
    • Be physically fit due to standing for long periods.
    • Have a positive attitude and be able to work as part of a team or independently.
    • Use your own initiative and manage your own workload.
    • Be self-motivated and focused on your own progress.
    • Have a flexible approach to work and changing demands (including working any of the shift patterns between 6am and 9:45pm Monday to Friday as well as the occasional Sunday)
    • Have previous warehouse experience.

    This is a full-time role. It is essential that you are reliable and available to work between the hours of 6am and 9:45pm Monday to Friday, as well as 1-2 Sundays a month (Sundays 7:30am to 3:30pm).

    Pay Rate and Shift Details:

    Pay Rate: £11.44 per hour Monday to Friday / £13.44 per hour Sunday

    Shifts: 5 out of 7 days on either a morning or afternoon shift and 1-2 Sundays a month (a day off during the week will be given if working Sunday).
