    Ceded Re Technical Accounting Project Delivery Senior Manager

    AXA XL continues to invest in its end-to-end capabilities and innovate notably in improving the current Ceded Re operating mode while developing a strategy to implement one new RI tool.

    Ceded Reinsurance is a strategic function within AXA XL in charge of defining and implementing the reinsurance strategy as well as administrating all reinsurance treaties through their lifecycle. Ceded Re is part of the AXA XL Risk Management function, the AXA XL Chief Risk Officer being member of AXA XL Leadership team.

    Ceded Re Operations team is responsible for the administration of all Treaty Reinsurance business written within AXA XL. Ceded Re Operations is composed of 6 key poles: Technical Operations, Technical Accounting, Data & Operations Reporting, Central Operations, Retrocession operations and Projects team.

    The Ceded Re Technical Accounting Project Delivery Senior Manager will support the Ceded Re projects (IT and Non-IT) by being a key contributor to the strategic projects and various Ceded Re initiatives, which will drive the next decades of Ceded Re operations after the implementation of the new RI tool and roll out of existing tools. Leveraging from their knowledge of processes and systems, they will partner with all stakeholders involved in the various projects (TCD, GT, Finance, Actuarial, Claims, MO, UW) to ensure the successful roll-out of the initiatives.

    The Ceded Re Technical Accounting Project Delivery Senior Manager will report to Ceded Re Head of Operations.

    What will your essential responsibilities include?

    The Ceded Re Technical Accounting Project Delivery Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting the change in Ceded Re Technical Accounting team over tactical and strategic projects:

  • :Use expert knowledge of the operating systems and processes for Technical Accounting to support and identify solutions related to system capabilities and associated Technical Accounting processes on relevant initiatives.Leverage from well-established knowledge and expert understanding of reinsurance, including complex structures, in addition to the Ceded Reinsurance Technical Accounting processes to advise and support the project team on applicable initiatives to ensure expected outcomes are achieved.
  • :Support the definition stage for specific projects ( New RI tool) for Technical Accounting, to produce business requirements including documenting high level target design. This includes the business requirements definition to transpose complex RI structures into solutions for automation.In partnership with the Transformation team, conduct e2e assessments to ensure all impacted functions and Technical Accountingprocesses are properly considered in the project. Both from a Tech Accounting and downstream customer perspective.Actively contribute to the design of roll out strategy of current operating tools environments with ( conversion) with business requirements definition and detailed impact assessment.
  • : Review and identify potential areas for Technical Accountingprocess improvements and work in collaboration with the Transformation Team to achieve efficiency across Ceded Re processes and systems.
  • : Identifies and strategizes business solutions for specific projects New RI tool. This includes understanding and synthesizing business requirements, identifying and documenting potential solutions/options through workshops and interviews, conducting analyses and documenting requirements.
  • Drive the delivery phase of the projects in collaboration with IT teams or Transformation Team, including UAT and training to users.
  • : Share expertise and use their In-depth technical expertise of complex RI concepts and terms to act as an SME on various transformation projects and BAU work. Provide guidance and assistance to other team members to share knowledge where required on Key Projects.
