Following recent bounds of investment, our client is currently experiencing an impressive scale-up.

They are seeking a HV Electrical Design Engineer to take on a fresh range of EV projects and continue the expansion of their Powertrain capabilities.


The company
Our client is a technical consultancy that specialise in helping major OEMs in the automotive space.

They are a true engineering powerhouse who develop advanced technologies for their clientele and have worked with some of the largest and most famous namesin the market.

One of their core specialisms is around EV technology for both road cars and motorsports, working on state-of-the-art technologies and powertrains.

They are leading the way in the world of electrification and they offer a variety of services from cell testingto software modelling.


The role

As a HV Electrical Design Engineer, you'll transform EV performance criteria into successful project deliveries that are delivered on time and to budget to match the scale of our client's production.

You'll work across a range of HV and LV powertrain systemsand components across the product lifecycle and present solutions to internal teams, suppliers and external customers.


  • Other responsibilities include: _
  • Carrying out functional and installation checks on prototypes
  • Channelling resources effectively to support the business in achieving annual objectives
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure suitable technical specifications are met
  • Working by processes and safety requirements
  • Producing customer documentation to ensure ongoing safety

The requirements:


  • You'll have at least 2 years' experience within an OEM or Tier 1 supplier with a track record of engineering automotive and/or motorsport components, as well as: _
  • Degree educated in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Practical experience of Hazardous Voltage systems
  • Demonstrable capability of working up to 850V DC systems
  • Highly organised and methodological
  • Innovative with an aptitude for problemsolving
  • Able to grasp technical concepts and new technologies quickly
  • Excellent communication, articulation and presentation skills
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Selfstarter who thrives in a handson, fastpaced environment
  • Resultsorientated and driven
