    Description

    ACCA Apprentice Management Accountant needed for a great role in a friendly central accounts team in a forward thinking firm in Croydon. We're a multi company EU wide group with our headquarters in Croydon. We are fully office based, Monday to Friday and offer long term career opportunities and a good working environment. We'll support you through our Apprenticeship Scheme with day release, one day per week, at College, and a supportive, training environment. You'll get an ACCA qualification and potential for a permanent role at the end of the Apprenticeship. As ACCA Apprentice Management Accountant, you will be expected to learn alongside your role, to grow into and develop your experience and ability to fulfill the functions of the role and beyond.

    You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing the budget, and providing financial insights to support the decision making process.

    This role will be on a fixed- term 36 month apprenticeship contract. It will be full time, Monday- Friday, 37.5 hours per week with day release one day per week to attend college to complete a level 7 ACCA Apprenticeship.

    This is a perfect opportunity to make a step up from your AAT qualification or any experience with accounting and bookkeeping.

    ACCA Apprentice Management Accountant responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls.
    • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
    • Assign tasks, set goals, and conduct performance evaluations.
    • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
    • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial results.
    • Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
    • Identify opportunities for streamlining accounting processes and enhancing efficiency.

    ACCA Apprentice Management Accountant Requirements:

    • Proven experience in accounting or financial roles.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to learn and develop.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    This role is 100% office based with the exception of one day release to attend college.
