Behaviour Lead

Start Date: 17th April 202- Permanent contract

  • Reporting to Headteacher and CEO (SLT)
- £35k to £45k


A Specialist school for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs are looking for Behaviour Lead to take on management responsibilities across the school.

This role is open to both qualified teachers and non-qualified support staff withextensive behaviour support experience in a school setting.


The Role


The core focus of this role is to oversee and develop behaviour support across the school particularly for support staff.

You will take on a range of middle management responsibilities including

  • Line management of TAs and HLTAs across the school
  • Partaking in CPD (PRICE train the trainer)
  • Lead inhouse PRICE Training and provide regular refresher courses for internal school staff
  • Be in charge for physical interventions that are required
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Overseeing incident reports and uploading reports to the portal system
- providing feedback based on incidents of physical interventions

  • Ensuring language and approach is correct to support students
  • Working with Therapists
  • To work closely with senior leadership to join up Behaviour and Therapeutic processes across the school
  • To introduce a range of interventions to move the focus away from Physical Restraint as a whole

This role is ideal for:

  • HLTA with extensive experience in behaviour management
  • SENCOwith experience in behaviour/inclusion or desire to be involved in this type
  • Unqualified or Qualified Class Teacher (seeking an out of classroom role)
  • Knowledge of behaviour and therapeutic process
