    Job Introduction Lead Mechanical TechnicianLocation:
    Central London and HertfordshireSalary: Up to £50,000
    Shift Pattern:4 days on 3 days off - Monday to Saturday. Call out rota 1 in 6Excellent range of employee benefits

    As a Lead Mechanical Technician (TSS) at Sodexo, you'll play a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the safe and effective execution of planned and reactive tasks.

    Reporting directly to the Technical Services Supervisor (TSS), this role involves working as part of a shift rota directed by the Technical Services Manager.


    What you'll do:

    • Ensure client equipment and systems operate correctly, escalating issues as needed.
    • Assist in prioritising work orders, communicating repair requirements with DigiHub/Helpdesk and end users.
    • Diagnose faults and repair assets within your technical capability.
    • Quality assure technical activities against Sodexo Global Engineering Standards and industry best practice.
    • Build professional relationships with stakeholders including clients, subcontractors, and Sodexo teams.
    • Support the training and development of staff within the team.
    • Maintain awareness of cost/benefit and sustainability in technical services delivery.

    About You:
    Technical competence with NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualifications, preferably within a mechanical discipline.
    5 years experience in a similar role.
    Practical technical skills and current working knowledge of engineering standards and best practice.
    Practical experience of working independently in a technical maintenance environment
    Practical experience of working to health and safety standards
    IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Office applications and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
    Ability to self-manage and self-plan workload to meet set deadlines.
    Ability to communicate with customers and team members
