    I am recruiting for a small indepedent alternative provision dedicated to providing tailored education for students aged 11-17 years old with social, emotional, mental health, and childhood trauma backgrounds.

    The school operates on building trustworthy relationships, putting pastoral care first, before tailoring academic material to each inidivudal pupil's needs.


    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Maths Teacher to join our team, who is able to teach functional skills up to GCSE level.

    The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working with students facing diverse challenges and will have the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

    The school are lookling for someone with a nurturing, pastoral, and can-do attitude.

    Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated maths lessons for secondary students, catering to varying ability levels and learning styles.
    Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic progress, resilience, and emotional well-being.
    Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and external professionals to provide holistic support for students' academic and personal development.
    Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, promoting open communication and partnership in the education process.
    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
    Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, preferably within an alternative provision or special educational needs setting.
    A thorough understanding of the national curriculum for mathematics and experience in implementing creative and innovative teaching approaches.
