    Nottingham University Hospitals is in one of the UK's largest acute teaching hospital Trusts and has a national and international reputation for many of its specialist services and expertise.

    These include Ophthalmology, Max Fax & ENT which this post will be integrated into.

    The successful post holder will become an integral part of the MDT within these specialities in helping with the management of the medications used within the conditions.


    The post holder will also provide leadership to the surgical pharmacy team at the Queens Medical Centre helping support the junior members of this team.

    As a senior member of the pharmacist team there will be the opportunity to help support and mentor the junior members of the team.

    You will be supported by the divisional lead pharmacist for surgery, as well as being able to call upon the support of the large pharmacy department at NUH.

    The post will be predominately based at the Queens Medical Centre, but there will be the potential need to travel to the Nottingham City Hospital Campus and potentially to other trusts in the region as required.

    The role will be mainly Monday to Friday 9am- 5pm, but these hours are negotiable. You will also be required to participate in a rostered weekend and bank holiday rota. In addition to this there is a requirement to support the on-call pharmacists through the senior pharmacist back-up rota.

    Diploma/MSc in clinical pharmacy or other appropriate post graduate qualification or experience

    Experience of clinical pharmacy service delivery
    Wide previous experience (post registration) including in hospital pharmacy
    Able to assess and minimise risk in medication processes
