    Job Description FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Windows System Administrator in Belfast to work for our client within the finance sector.

    We are seeking a Senior Windows System Administrator with a strong background in the Windows server system space to carry out a broad range of operational service and support assignments.

    You'll manage, install, build, monitor and support the Microsoft windows Servers. You'll also be responsible for ensuring that the servers are up and always running smoothly. In addition, you will be required to maintain, patch, and upgrade the servers as needed. Furthermore, you will also be responsible for troubleshooting any server issues that may arise. Overseeing and maintaining Windows-based IT Infrastructure. This includes installing, configuring, and optimising operating systems, software, and hardware.
    Troubleshooting system issues, performing system updates and patches, and ensuring data backups.
    Collaboration with other IT professionals, monitoring system performance, and implementing security measures are crucial aspects of the role.
    Provide engineering solutions for various projects and operational needs.
    Support public and private cloud-based windows server environment.

    Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.

    5-10 years of system administration with proven experience as a Microsoft Windows Server Administrator.
    ~ Degree in technology related major preferred or Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
    ~ Windows Server build & support hands-on experience including problem determination/problem resolution skills.
    ~ Experience with Windows servers 2012, 2016 & 2019.
    ~ Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Cloud.
    ~ Good knowledge of networking, firewall configuration, and VPN.
    ~ Working in project-based work and support-related experience.
    ~ Functional understanding of project management principles and their application to infrastructure projects and teams.
    ~ Working knowledge of ServiceNow and Microsoft office tools products.
