Description

As a Production Planner (Undergraduate Placement Scheme), you will interpret demand/forecasts into an operational production plan and support the execution of the plan to achieve top levels of service, timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and issue production schedules using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and supporting systems to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts of customer orders in conjunction with manufacturing lead times.
Alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions through an agreed process.
Identify and work with Production to minimise constraints with the support of the Planning Manager.
Maintain short and long term demands to maintain level workloads within production where possible in line with agreed PSO rates.
Coordinate priorities between multiple departments.
Update key performance indicators where required.
Attend daily meetings to discuss issues which may affect schedule and work with relevant departments to resolve any issues.
Identify and assign turnover at every opportunity
Run line availability and update daily.
Investigate, with root cause analysis, material shortages and late customer orders.

Qualifications

Studying for an undergraduate degree in a related field (Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Business Management with Logistics etc. (Crucial))
Ability to identify, prioritise and work to strict timescales.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High levels of digital literacy (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
