Due to continued growth we are currently looking at recruiting hardworking production MIG/TIG welder/ fabricators to join our established dayshift and nightshift teams.
Suitable candidates must be skilled in welding preferably within the thin gauge sheet metal light engineering sector.The ideal candidates will have the ability to MIG mild steel and have an excellent working knowledge of welding procedures.
You will be expected to produce high quality work consistently, while being able to work at a consistent pace. The work is for a variety of different markets with many interesting client portfolios' being serviced. You will also need to have some fettling experience of cleaning products ready for the follow-on processes.You will be working within a busy thriving manufacturing team, employing more than 80 skilled and semi-skilled staff. but you must be capable of working independently using and interpreting engineering assembly drawings. The work is to be completed within our factories and does not involve any site work.
High standards of timekeeping and attendance essential. The ideal candidate will preferably have a minimum of four years' in a welding environment (all candidates will be subject to a weld test as part of the recruitment process.)
What's required...
The following skills and experience are required if you are to be considered for the position of sheet metal fabricator and welder:
Extensive MIG welding experience
Good knowledge of working with steel in varying levels of thickness (0.8mm – 6mm)
Experience of fast-paced, high quality production welding
Able to read, understand and work to engineering drawings
TIG welding experience would be desirable
Good understanding of non-welding processes such as: Grinding, sanding, spot welding and stud welding
Experience of using hand held and air powered tools
