We are looking for an ambitious and creative individual to join our team and provide complete finance solutions for our clients.

Our team is dedicated and selective when it comes to the clients we work with, so you'll gain in-depth exposure to a varietyof highly innovative companies.

You'll have the freedom to create and manage processes, software and insights that provide cost-effective and usable solutions to our clients.

It can act as a steppingstone into your own CFO position or a flexible, stableand satisfying role which is different to a large corporate or practice position.

**Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of a Finance Manager / Controller include, but are not limited to:

Set up and/or management of all core finance process (AP, AR, Payroll, Treasury, Management and Financial accounting).
Management of external statutory accounting providers.
Cash flow forecast.
Fundraising support.
Other business support functions (input into legal, HR, IT etc.).

Barnabas Finance was founded to address the issues and frustrations that its founder faced as the CFO of several early-stage biotech companies.

Finance assistance for new businesses is typically limited to bookkeeping and statutory accounting, with little strategic insight and advice. Barnabas Finance, in addition to traditional finance functions, advises early-stage companies on fundraising, cashflow forecasting, and strategic decision making. Current clients of the firm are making exciting advances in biotechnology and have raised more than £30 million.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Finance Manager / Controller are:

An accounting qualification.
Knowledge of accountancy principles, practices, and procedures.
Ability to analyse, interpret, and report on financial information.
Ability to identify, assess, and manage financial risks.
Ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear, concise manner.
A willingness to solve problems and embrace uncertainty.
