    Veterinary Surgeon - Reading


    • Veterinary Surgeon role at an independent small animal practice in Berkshire

Look no further Our client, a welcoming independent small animal practice nestled in the idyllic rural landscape of West Berkshire, is on the lookout for a talented Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. Located in an area where famous author Kenneth Graham once lived, our client's practice embodies a sense of charm and tranquillity. They value a light-hearted approach to work and prioritise creating an enjoyable workday experience for the team. At this practice, you'll find a relaxed and supportive atmosphere that fosters clinical freedom and encourages excellence in patient care. The team is renowned for its friendliness and camaraderie, always ready to share knowledge and lend a helping hand with challenging cases. Led by an experienced small animal surgery certificate holder proficient in both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and supported by a vet with a keen interest in soft tissue surgery, the team is dedicated to providing top-notch veterinary care. Their Practice Manager, a stalwart of over 30 years, ensures smooth operations and a positive work environment. As a nurse training practice, they take pride in nurturing the next generation of veterinary professionals. Their highly skilled team of RVNs, SVNs, and ACAs, under the leadership of a Head Nurse, ensures that every patient receives the highest standard of care. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound, cardiac ultrasound, endoscopy, orthopaedic kit, and a brand new in-house lab, you'll have access to the tools you need to excel in your role. Outside of work, our client fosters a sense of community with regular social events such as curry nights, BBQs, and themed parties. West Berkshire offers an enchanting living and working environment, boasting stunning countryside, riverside walks, quaint country pubs, and easy access to Reading, Newbury, and Basingstoke.     The Rota:

    • Full Time role - 4 or 4.5 day week
    • 1:4 Saturday mornings
    • No OOH
    • Part time applications welcomed

    The Benefits:

    Excellent salary:
    £35,000 - £60,000 DOE


    • 30 days annual leave including bank holidays, increasing with length of service to maximum of 38 days including bank holidays.
