    The data hub is a project that encapsulates several technologies and the capability to abstract users for the complexity of data access; it links to standard data sets at the most granular level that we can achieve and presents them in standardized and controlled views.

    The role of the product owner is to Define and champion the use of the data hub to distribute and leverage data within the bank.

    The role will work closely with other functions in the data office including Data Governance and Data Analytics, as well as dealing directly with stakeholder and strategic projects.

    Collecting, combining and connecting data for users and systems to make faster, more accurate and informed decisions.

    With the aim of being the preferred solution to access high-quality, precise data and to provide everyone with the support and understanding they need to successfully utilize it.

    The Data Hub provides a service layer over several technologies that simplify, improve and decouple users from needing to understand how to get hold of the data.

    In the last 18 months The Data Hub in EMEA has yet to achieve the desired results.

    There is a consensus that the vision and concept are still sound, but a realization that the current technology only delivers part of the EMEA vision for The Data Hub being the single window to all our data and that we need to set up a better delivery framework.

    The framework must support better integration between IT, the Data Office, EMEA, and Americas Division.
    At the Data Hub's foundation is Denodo technology. The data office has been established for nearly two years and is growing significantly.

    The bank is at the early stages of its data journey, and it is undergoing a number of programmes to change the way the bank works.


    Data Hub Strategy:

    Define and execute the data hub strategy for our bank, identifying opportunities to enable self-serve capabilities for data consumers.

    Develop a roadmap for the data hub and drive adoption across the organization.

    Technology Configuration:
    Act as the sponsor for the configuration of technologies as a critical component of our data hub architecture.

    Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data integration needs, design data virtualization solutions, and partner with the platform team to support the deployment of data services (Including Denodo) working between AD and EMEA.


    Stakeholder Engagement:
    Engage with business leaders and data consumers to understand their data needs, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement of the data Hub infrastructure


    Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

    Work closely with the platforms team to align deliveries to the visions and priorities of The Data Hub, work with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide support for data environment setup and management.

    Work in partnership with the project managers to ensure that the TDH deliver is effectively managed.

    Training and Documentation:
    Outline training materials, documentation, and best practices for utilizing the data hub (including Denodo) and the other infrastructure. Conduct training sessions and workshops to enable self-serve capabilities and empower data consumers to leverage the platform effectively.
    Bridging the Technology and Data Departments
    Development and management of a backlog
    A good understanding of, and experience applying, project management principles to large project
    Strong communication and negotiating skills, including working with senior stakeholders
    Experience Microsoft technology, including power query, power BI
    Ability to use JIRA or Service Now Project Management tools
    Understanding of the data sets within a Bank with an investment arm

    The Data Hub has had a number of challenges which are focused on supporting cross functional working with the Technology Department and our Americas Division where the technology its developed.

    Part of the role will be to work with IT to develop and recommend an operating model to ensure that EMEA is supported in its activities with an effective Data Hub
