Our not-for-profit client is working exclusively with Accountancy Recruitment Wales to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk. Working as part of a team, you will ensure general accounting transactions are accounted for effectively and efficiently.


Working with Finance Director, Finance and Systems Manager, and Senior Finance Officers, you will contribute to providing regional financial management.


DUTIES:


  • Working as part of a team to focus on balance sheet, purchase ledger and expenses ledger.
  • Ensure purchase ledger processing and payment of expenditure invoices, including the purchase order and invoice process is carried out efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner.

Creditor management:

  • Review and control of creditor accounts, making sure the balances are meaningful.
  • Reconcile to statements regularly.
  • Ensure expenditure is paid and accounted for in a timely manner.
  • Manage staff expense claims queries and prepare staff expense payments.
  • Assist with Bank and petty cash administration and reconciliation when needed.
  • Assist with preparation and reconciliation of fixed asset register and posting of depreciation journal when needed.

Continuous Improvement:

  • To work with the Finance and Systems Manager to support continuous improvements.
  • To work with the Finance and Systems Manager to support finance training.

  • The post holder is expected to carry out their duties in accordance with the organisations Policies and Procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of all organisational Policies and Procedures.
  • Carry out other relevant work as Directors and Managers may require.
  • You will be working as part of a team and on your own initiative.

BENEFITS:


  • Hybrid working, 3 days in office and 2 from home.
  • Annual leave allowance of 25 days with the option to reduce to 20 and receive the 5 days additional pay.
  • 37 hour working week.
