    Chief / Lead Battery Performance Engineer - Oxfordshire - EV - £80k to £100k


    One of my key clients in the EV Sector is hiring a Chief / Lead Battery Performance Engineer to work at their site in Oxfordshire.


    The Chief / Lead Battery Performance Engineer will join the Battery Systems Department and support the development of battery performance across all electrification programmes in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.

    This role is a Technical Engineering focussed position leading the development of Battery Systems & Performance.

    Chief / Lead Battery Performance EngineernOxfordshirenHybrid WFH (2-3 Days on site per week - Varied)n£80k to £100k (Negotiable) + Relocation SupportnSponsorship Offered

    Key Responsibilities:

    nAdvancing electrical, thermal, and electrochemical battery performance and safety.nGenerating battery system concepts from system level requirements by cell selection and pack sizing.nDefining battery test plans and procedures to validate battery system performance and safety.nAnalysing battery data from tests, race events, and fleet operations.nDetermining battery performance and safety through model simulations.nManage a small team of engineers and provide technical mentorship.nEngaging with stakeholders at all levels as a battery performance representative.nRepresenting the company externally as a battery system technical expert for ongoing project delivery, business development, and academic partnerships.


    Key Skills & Experience:

    nA qualification in a STEM course or relevant equivalent experience.nStrong experience in battery data analysis in MATLAB.nStrong experience in battery systems modelling and simulations.nAdvanced understanding of HV battery systems and their safety strategies.nGreat understanding of battery cell technologies.nExperience in battery system development programmes.nStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
