An exciting one year secondment / fixed term opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work with and support the existing CAS (Cancer and Associated Specialities) Divisional Finance Business Partner, within Nottingham University Hospital's award winning finance department.

Main duties of the job


The post holder will play a key role as a part of the Divisional Leadership Team offering sound financial advice and influencing the key strategic decisions made.

They will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team led by a Divisional Director.

Working with influence and credibility, the focus will be to provide clear strategic financial leadership and business advice, delivering robust operational and financial management whilst improving cost effectiveness.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities


The post holder will support the Division in managing resources efficiently and flexibly, ensuring rigorous financial control is implemented across the Division.


They will support and challenge clinicians and senior managers in redesigning services to improve the quality of care and patient experience in a financially sustainable manner.


The post will provide the Divisional link across Finance, and will require a resilient, innovative and multi-layered approach to working and reporting.

Training & Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Professional Accountancy qualification
  • Demonstrable post qualification development and achievement of CPD
Desirable criteria

  • Educated to masters degree level.
Experience

Essential criteria

  • Significant post qualification experience with a proven track record in a senior leadership/management role.
  • Proven financial management experience of a complex partnershipdependent environment.
Desirable criteria

  • Experience of financial management within a large Acute Teaching Trust.

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
