Up to £32,965

Overview
2fawcett are recruiting for a senior payroll officer to work for a leading charity based in Nottingham.


As the senior payroll officer you will join a finance manager working for an employer who cares passionately about what they do.

As the Senior Payroll Officer, you will have a number of years' experience in a large, busy payroll role with 1000s of employees.

We are looking for someone who is keen to progress into management in the not too distant future.


The Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Payroll Officer

  • Administer and maintain all payroll and pensions systems and records
  • Ensure that all records relating to the section are accurate and uptodate and all appropriate control accounts are reconciled on a regular basis
  • Assist in period and year end payroll close down procedures
  • Answer complex payroll related queries within agreed time limits
  • Operate all payroll control accounts and systems
  • Answer complex payroll related queries within agreed time limits
; ensuring confidentiality of information at all times according to Data Protection Act.

  • Assist in the production of statutory and financial accounts and reports; assisting with internal and external auditors as required.

Requirements of the Senior Payroll Officer

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Substantial demonstrable and up to date knowledge of Statutory Payments & PAYE to comply with statutory regulations
  • Good communication skills including report writing as they will need to prepare reports for board and committees
  • Previous experience working within a similar role would be advantageous

Desirable

  • Educated to Diploma in Payroll level (NVQ4) with demonstrable payroll experience
