    Join our Mergers and Acquisitions(M&A) team on an 8 week paid internship and discover what it's really liketo work in corporate finance.

    What does our M&A team do?
    Our corporate finance team is one of themost active advisers in the UK.

    We have advised on more than 1,000 deals in thepast five years, working with entrepreneurs, private equity houses and largecorporates.

    In mergers and acquisitions, we advise shareholdersand management teams who are looking to sell their business, raise money forgrowth, or carry out a management buy-out.

    Our M&A team also advisescompanies on identifying and executing acquisitions. We advise our clientsthroughout the entire transaction lifecycle to ensure they maximise value andachieve the best possible deal.

    This includes pitching to new clients, helpingthem to prepare the business for a transaction, advising on the optionsavailable, and negotiating the terms of the deal.

    At RSM, we work with clients across arange of sectors, including technology, manufacturing, financial services,consumer, and business services, amongst others.

    What can you expect?
    At RSM, you'll be a key member of our team from day one. Ourinternship programme allows you to experience working in the M&A teamalongside current trainees and experienced members of the firm. This hands-onearly experience is invaluable as you take the next steps in your career.

    No two days are the same in M&A, and you are likely tobe involved in preparing pitches, attending client meetings, producing sector research,and analysing a company's financial performance.

    During your time at RSM youwill have the opportunity to hit the ground running and make meaningfulcontributions on the projects you work on.

    In addition to on-the-job training you will benefit from ourinternal training courses that will help you develop in the role.

    We're on the lookout for students with a'can-do' attitude, who are prepared to work hard and take on high levels ofresponsibility.

    During the internship you will be working closely with othermembers of the M&A team, so we also look for team players who enjoyinteracting with others and are curious about how businesses work.


    Time management and organisational skillsare key as you may be working on multiple projects at the same time. You shouldbe confident with numbers, have excellent written communication skills and akeen attention to detail.

    Entry requirements
    At RSM, we don't just look for good examresults. We think passion, personality and originality are just as important.


    You will need:
    112 UCAS points across 3 A Levels or anequivalent level 3 qualification, or 104 UCAS points across 4 ScottishHighers/Advanced Highers or Irish Leaving Certificate (Higher Level);

    A predicted honours degree.
