    Description

    Stork are recruiting for Heat Treatment Technicians across various UK locations on a fixed term basis. As Heat Treatment Technician at Stork you will be responsible for providing a full range of practical and technical heat treatment services and support, predominantly on-site but also workshop based when required. This role delivers a full range of practical heat treatment services to clients across various sites with direction from the Operations Manager.

    Job Description as Heat Treatment Technician

    • Deliver heat treatment services in-house and on external client sites
    • Set up and run heat treatments in accordance with relevant specifications and company procedures;
    • Assist in the pre job planning, execution and post job tasks required on any given project;
    • Organise work effectively to ensure greatest efficiency; Ensure self and colleagues are focused on client and management required objectives.
    • Responsible for carrying out HT works in accordance with the relevant procedures Supplied by the client or Senior Technician/Supervisor.
    • Maintaining Heat Treatment Equipment
    • Contributing to the organisation's ability to supply a full range of routine, ad-hoc or emergency heat treatment services to national, international and offshore clients
    Job Requirements
    • Prepares equipment for return shipment to regional facility noting & documenting any missing or damaged equipment to Line manager
    • Attend both planned and emergency projects as directed by Operations Manager;
    • Undertake work as instructed by line manager. Work may include site based operations (national/international), office based duties, training or communication meetings.
    • When in receipt of standby pay, remain fully available for work and deploy as necessary
    • You will be required to be flexible in your approach to shift patterns, travel, site and factory based work in either planned activities or within emergency, reactive responses to client requirements.

    Education

    • Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) standard
    • CCNSG Safety Passport (Preferred)
    Experience
    • Experience of the application of Heat Treatment processes
    • Clear understanding of electrical theories & principles
    • Demonstrable site experience. Setting up and running all preheat/PWHT using low voltage heaters using both 60V and 110V supply. Preheat on rotating components
    • Familiar with heat treatment equipment and its repair/maintenance
    • Experience working in a role committed to HSEQ policy and procedure
