Are you a motivated and driven person with experience in scheduling? Are you a natural problem solver looking to manage a team to success? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you as a Team Leader.


What can you expect?
As a Team Leader you will report to the Assistant Regional Scheduling Manager.

You will be required to assist and become a hands-on part of the scheduling team, when necessary, across the region.

You will play a key role in the delivery of our day-to-day scheduling service.


This is a varied and busy role that will require you to manage, develop, direct and motivate all schedulers within the scheduling team by ensuring the implementation of all business policies and procedures, whilst monitoring adherence to all KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and SLAs (Service Level Agreements).


You will be driven to deliver a high level of customer service, whilst supporting the schedulers across the Wessex Water region, ensuring the team are confident and proficient in their understanding of systems, policies and procedures, including business continuity and emergency planning.

You will also be required to manage substantial event situations and support the Regional Scheduling management team.

You will be required to attend meetings with other departments to speak on behalf of the WAM (Work Asset Management) and Customer Scheduling teams, and to represent regional scheduling.


An important focus of this role is collaborating with local operational teams and technical experts to ensure the scheduling function adds maximum value to the field operation.

This role is focal in leading change and recommending innovative approaches, as well as providing supervision and guidance to team members.


To succeed in this role, you will need to be a motivated and driven person with dedicated team working skills.

You will ensure all performance, regulatory and internal targets are achieved through effective planning, scheduling and excellent customer service.

You will need the ability to remain calm and positive under pressure and during periods of change, while also understanding the need for flexibility to provide an outstanding service.

Previous scheduling experience would be beneficial.


Within the role you may be required to travel to different offices, throughout the region to carry out scheduling activities, while supporting and covering related scheduling functions.

You will have excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise you and your team's workload.

You will be a good communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills.

In addition, we are looking for:

  • previous experience within a scheduling role
- an understanding of identifying and setting performance targets
- computer and systems literacy (a good all-round knowledge of IT).
