    Position Title:
    Fleet Vehicle Technician


    About Our Client:
    We are representing a prestigious Council Fleet Maintenance Department in their search for 4 skilled Fleet Vehicle Technician.

    Our client is responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of vehicles, including Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs), Cars, and specialized equipment.

    This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of essential vehicles within the community.

    Role Overview:


    As a Fleet Vehicle Technician, you will be tasked with ensuring the maintenance and repair of various vehicles to meet safety standards and operational requirements.

    From conducting MOT and taxi tests to diagnosing faults and performing advanced diagnostics on vehicle systems, your role will be critical in ensuring the reliability of the fleet.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Maintain and repair a diverse fleet of vehicles, including HGVs, LGVs, Cars, and specialized equipment.
    Conduct MOT and taxi tests to Ministry of Transport standards.
    Prepare vehicles for MOT and HGV annual tests.
    Diagnose faults, identify required parts, and ensure the roadworthiness of vehicles.
    Perform minor bodywork repairs as needed.
    Complete necessary paperwork, including reports on vehicle condition and repairs.
    Attend vehicle breakdowns and provide assistance as required.

    Essential:
    City and Guilds Motor Vehicle Craft qualification or recognized equivalent.
    Class IV and VII Nominated MOT Tester certification.

    Desirable:
    HGV Class 2 driving license.

    Qualifications and Experience:
    Minimum 4 years of experience in a vehicle workshop or fleet maintenance setting.
    Proficiency in utilizing specialist software and hardware for diagnostic investigations.
    Knowledge of servicing and repair of various vehicles, including car, light commercial, and HGV vehicles.
    Familiarity with vehicle hydraulic, electrical, or pneumatic systems.
    Willingness to undergo training and development as required.

    Additional Details:

    Working Hours:
    Monday to Friday.


    Hourly Rate:
    £23.25 per hour.
