Could you identify innovative opportunities to enhance medical education across Hywel Dda? If so, this may be the ideal role for you.


An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified medical practitioner to join Hywel Dda University Health Board's progressive team of medical educators, in the role of Medical Education Teaching Fellow.


This full time teaching fellow role is being offered on a 12 month fixed term basis and expectations of the role include supporting undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across the Mental Health & Learning Disabilities service, in addition to providing generic teaching sessions for all medical students.

Applicants must have a minimum of 12 months experience of practising medicine in the UK


Main duties of the role will include:

  • Delivering ward and classroom based teaching for Medical and Physician Associate Students in accordance with relevant curricula and learning needs
  • Delivering ward and classroom based teaching and undertaking workplace based assessments for Junior Doctors
  • Active involvement in quality improvement activities

  • Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
