Head of Student Casework

Education Policy Support

Department


The Education Policy Support Section is a key team in student services which supports the PVC Education in the development of education policy and the management of quality assurance and enhancement across the collegiate University.

The section services Education Committee and its subcommittees, provides advice and guidance to departments, faculties and colleges within Oxford, and handles certain types of student cases.

Head of Student Casework is a new post overseeing student casework within the Education Policy team.

About the Role
Please note that this role is 0.9FTE but a 0.8FTE could also be considered.


About You


You will have a good first degree or equivalent, and experience of casework ideally in education or working with young people.

You will enjoy solving problems and finding creative solutions.

You will be required to demonstrate good organisational and communication skills and work effectively with students and staff across the collegiate University, demonstrating tact, discretion and judgement in the handling of sensitive and confidential matters.

In addition you will have proven staff management abilities including the capacity to motivate and create a cooperative environment.
