Planning and Sufficiency Officer

SO1/2 - £30,151 - £34,723 pa (Pro rata for Part Time Posts)

1 x 37 hours per week (flexitime scheme in operation)

Permanent

Based at Margaret McMillan Tower

Based at a Bradford Council city centre building and you may be asked to work in other locations to meet service needs.

Currently we are office based for two fixed days with the option to work from home for the remainder of the week.

This new role will be an integral part of the team in supporting the service to implement the Bradford Sufficiency Strategy, in ensuring that there are sufficient places for all children and young people across the Bradford District in the following areas:

Primary and Secondary Mainstream Places
Specialist Places for Children and Young People with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Early Education & Childcare Places

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and self-reliant individual with an interest in gaining knowledge and skills in key statutory duties

This role will include:

The gathering and collation of information/data via different methods including online surveys and face to face contact with key stakeholders
Supporting the Lead Officers on place creation projects
Contributing to the implementation of established processes to assess sufficiency of places
English and Maths Grade A
C/ Strong Passes (or equivalent qualifications and grades).
Experience of project or development work and supporting teams in a relevant field.
Experience of analysing data and have experience of using Microsoft Office and complex databases.
