We are seeking to recruit a full time therapy assistant to join our vibrant team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists working across the Specialist Medicine wards at Hammersmith Hospital.
Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists in this setting are responsible for the ongoing functional assessment, intervention and timely discharge planning of patients back to their home or other suitable environments.
This role involves working primarily with patients who are admitted onto the specialist Renal wards and the Frailty ward and who are off their functional baseline.
The therapy assistant is delegated work by the therapist and they will perform patient care, including rehabilitating patients through mobilising, practicing activities of daily living, supervising exercise programs, and carrying out discharge planning tasks.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled therapy assistant with the ability to take the initiative and work autonomously as appropriate.
To assist therapy staff in delivering safe, effective treatments to patients within the Renal Therapy team at Imperial college Healthcare NHS including ensuring a clean and appropriately equipped environment
