    Contract:
    Permanent, Monday to Friday, Full-time (part time hours may be available)

    Salary:
    £35,000 - £45,000 (pro-rata for part time hours)

    We work with public sector and 3rd sector clients across the UK to support positive behaviour change for individuals and communities.

    Training is a core part of our offer/service to clients.

    We are an accredited training provider, offering bespoke courses that give public and 3rd sector teams the skills to inspire positive behaviour change.

    We have trained staff from Local Authorities, Health Boards, Registered Charities, Health & Social Care Partnerships and NHS organisations amongst many others.

    A particular focus is our skills training for front line workers and volunteers in Making Every Contact Count (MECC) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

    We also deliver training for practitioners in how to scope, develop, deliver, and evaluate behaviour change interventions.

    About the roleWe are looking for an experienced trainer to join our team to help:

    Deliver the SMG training portfolioContribute to training course design, development, and evaluation – of existing and new courses/topicsManage clients and projects, including pre-training needs engagement, champion and stakeholder network development and managementDevelop and grow new businessAbout youEssential experienceWe are looking for someone with:Training, facilitation, and presentation experience (in-person/classroom and online) with different groups (professionals, community workers, volunteers etc.) and group sizesFamiliarity with instructional techniques and modern (e-learning, online) training methodsExperience of developing training materials, including eLearning resourcesExperience of/familiarity with behaviour change/social marketing and its applicationAlthough not essential, the following would be useful:Knowledge and experience of MECC & MI training – techniques and training deliveryPublic & 3rd sector experience/background – including a good knowledge of how they operate and support local communitiesA training/learning & development qualificationSkillsThe right person will have:Excellent presentation skills, both oral and writtenExcellent interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders at all levels, and interact with people from diverse nationalities, cultures, and backgroundsThe ability to adapt and 'think on their feet'Excellent organisational skillsGood IT skills/proficiency particularly with online meeting/conference software (MS Teams & Zoom), using/connecting to projectors, monitors, and other presentation systems/mediaEducation RequirementsPreferably degree educated, ideally (but not essentially) with a relevance to and/or interest in behaviour change/social marketing work and/or public/mental health, e.g.

    psychology, behavioural economics, public health etc.
