    Role responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager (Bus Franchising) to deliver the Bus Franchising programme and support on a range of projects, by applying robust project lifecycle methodologies (such as APM or PRINCE 2), implementing the project plan, schedule of all tasks, key milestones, and resource management to ensure these are completed safely to time, cost and quality.
  • Support the proactive management of the delivery of the bus franchising programme, support for the Welsh Government (WG) bus decarbonisation plans, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service provision.
  • Provide a professional and effective programme and project management service, including project governance, reporting, technical working groups and executive steering groups, in accordance with the required processes and timelines to ensure the projects are aligned to TfW processes and delivered to cost and quality.
  • Track project progress and provide regular reports to a variety of stakeholders by supporting the Project Manager to establish and implement the programme, including a schedule of all tasks, key milestones, and resource management to ensure TfW delivers projects to time, cost and quality.
  • Who we're looking for

  • Possess or working towards a project management qualification such as APM or PRINCE2 or similar.
  • Experience of administering project management documentation including; project action, trackers, programmes, project reporting, budget control, risk and issue processes.
  • Previous experience of supporting the delivery of transport projects.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in support of a strong safety culture.
  • Experience of working with local and national government, stakeholders and of working in partnership within the public and private sector.
  • Welsh Language Skills

    The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
